Word frequency counter
Paste any text and see the words that dominate it — useful for checking listing copy balance, keyword stuffing and repetition.
How it works
Words are lowercased, split on non-letter characters and counted. The optional stopword filter removes the glue words (the, a, of, and…) that dominate every English text, so the list shows the words that carry meaning. The percentage is the word's share of all filtered words — if any single word exceeds ~5% of a product description, the copy is repeating itself.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work for other languages?
The tokenizer splits on non-letters, which works for Latin-script languages. The stopword list is English-only; uncheck it for other languages.
Why check word frequency on a listing?
Keyword stuffing reads badly to buyers and can look spammy to search. A quick frequency check catches accidental repetition before publishing.
